Josiah Viera’s love of baseball and love of life continues to inspire | E:60
In 2010, E:60 satisfied 6-year-old Josiah Viera, who was fighting Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome, an uncommon hereditary illness that triggers sped up aging in children. Josiah never ever let the illness specify who he was nor did he allow it avoid him from playing baseball, his favorite sporting activity. Initially, Josiah was the celebrity of Little League, where up to 1,000 individuals from the community collected to cheer him on. But when playing became excessive, he located another method to be component of the video game he enjoys as an honorary bench coach for the State College Spikes, the A-level club in the St. Louis Cardinals company. On December 24, 2018, Josiah died at the age of 14.
