HOUSTON– Not surprisingly, Astros supervisor Dusty Baker tabbed left-hander Framber Valdez to begin Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday evening versus the Braves at Minute Maid Park. Valdez, who threw 8 innings of one-run ball in Game 5 of the American League Championship Series in Boston on Wednesday, will be starting on normal remainder.
