The season opener for Taiwan’s Chinese Professional Baseball League got underway after nearly a month of delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with some help from robotic drummers and cardboard “followers” in the stands. A rainfall hold-up compelled the game to be relocated from Saturday to Sunday, April 12, 2020, yet still in time for it to be the world’s initial professional baseball league match considering that the coronavirus pandemic closed down most expert sporting occasions around the globe.
